Harvested from our own “Appleblock Vineyard”. This area was once a Golden Delicious orchard, thus the name. This vineyard surrounds the winery and the catfish pond. Honeysuckle on the nose. Bright clean finish. Lemon drops and Bartlett Pear at mid-palate. Granny Smith at the finish.
Riesling is a classic with Thai and Indonesian spiciness. With the old European heritage, it holds up well to beef or pork fare as well. Cheese pairing often includes Asiago, Blue Cheese, Cheddar, Colby, Fontina, Gorgonzola, Gouda, Havarti, Monterey Jack, Swiss, Sheeps Milk cheeses.
Fermented 21 days at 48-52 F. All stainless steel tanks. Residual sugar 2.1 g/l, Alcohol 10.3%, TA 0.93 and pH 3.2. Grapes harvested on 10/13/14 by hand.
